Male, approx. 2 years old, 43 lbs Personality: Goofy/funny, energetic, outgoing, snuggler, playful, affectionate, gentle, adaptable, and mischievous. Sweet? Friendly? Snuggly? Baxley checks all those boxes! He's never met a stranger and wants to be everyone's (and every dog's) new best friend. Baxley enjoys being on the go: whether it's walking around the neighborhood, socializing with everyone he encounters at the dog park, or zooming around outdoors, Baxley is ready! He does great with other dogs and is enjoying the resident five-year old dog in his foster home. He has been making great strides adapting to the new sights, smells, and sounds of life in an urban environment. Baxley is doing great walking on leash and he already knows the words sit, wait, come, drop it, and hug! Baxley's foster trusts him to have full rein of the house while home alone. Baxley is still working on housetraining but has made strides since he first came to DC! Baxley's mantra would be "sharing is caring" when it comes to sharing food, toys, and treats with his canine foster sister. Another one of Baxley's rules of life is that everything is better together - whether it's following his people around the house, cuddling on the couch together, or chewing on a dog chew near his humans. Baxley would say that chewing is probably his number one hobby, but he has mostly learned what is and is not a toy. He would loveeeee a variety of fun items to chomp on! City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
