Benny is a big, lovable oaf. He’s got a goofy personality and just wants to hop and romp around. He’s nearing 2 years old, we wanted to give him full growing time before being neutered, that’s why he is not yet. Due to life’s many curveballs we are seeking a new home for him, preferably with someone active and/or who knows how to train dogs, as he is incredibly responsive to training and in need of some more. He also needs socializing and some behavioral training, he occasionally throws “fits” where he barks and gets rowdy and requires some soothing words to coax him back into good boy status. He’s a very smart dog, knows a few different words like “chew” for bully sticks or bones, “ball” or “toy” and he’ll retrieve a play item, almost immediate response to “sit”, “wait” will usually keep him in place for a moment. Kennel trained, saying “kennel up” will get him to go in there and turn around for treats. A truly amazing dog, just needs a family that can provide better for him!
