About Benny.He was dumped in Edinburg, TX on the side of the road. He was found barely alive, mange, was starving to death and used as a bait dog with wounds. He got better but still thin in TX. He lived the ladies yard who picks up strays all the time. She got him a dog house and fed him. No one showed interest for about a year. He Showed up with heart worm and he has finally fully recovered. He's gained weight, looks good. He's very sweet to all. Loves car rides. He is very dorky and goofy. Good with dogs of all sizes and likes water. He is a gentle soul who would love a family of his own to explore and love.If interested please fill out and submit an application online at Softpawsrescue.org and send in home and yard photos for consideration to adopt. We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA.
