Needs another playful dog. Additional info: Betty is a sweet and loving dog, but she is pretty fearful with new people and can be shy at first. She is especially fearful of men; it took her about 2 days to get used to the fosters bf and would bark at him anytime he entered a room. She is very clingy and wants to be right next to you at all times, so needs to work on her independence. The fosters have not left her alone since they have had her. She does have some separation anxiety that has been known to be severe so she needs someone around a lot. She does resource guard food to other dogs and would do best in a home with a calm dog She also does have some leash reactivity to other dogs. Betty is a fearful girl that is looking for someone that has the time to put in a little work to help her become a well-adjusted and confident dog. FOSTER update:7/25- Betty is an excellent car companion. She’s gonna make someone a great ride or die partner in crime. She loves, jumping in the car and sits in the passenger seat like a queen or if she’s getting warm and the sun is too much for her in the front seat, she very politely goes to sit in the back so she can feel a gentle breeze. She is a funny little girl. She does struggle with separation anxiety so we are looking for someone who lives in a home with no shared walls and is home often! She does well with dogs and cats.
