Billie Jean is a spunky- full of life 9 year old terrier mix. She received a second chance of life when she was brought to the vet to be “put down” because she was having too many accidents and drinking too much. A rescuer was there at the time and heard what was going on and stepped in to save her life. Rescuer said she is probably diabetic and if she is - would you reconsider. They said no- but her life was spared when her new foster moms had her tested and saved her! She is diabetic - insulin dependent. Still needs to loose some weight for better management. She is currently 25 pounds ! She is up to date on vaccinations and Heartworm negative. She is also spayed. She is use to being with her person all the time. Would do better with someone that is always home or works from home. She loves your lap and loves attention She is good with other dogs and cats. In her foster home - she hasn't been around younger children. She would do best with someone that is familiar with diabetic dogs - but not necessary - new family would just need to educate themselves about insulin and food and feeding times.Foster Mom would be happy to help.
