Blue is a beautiful 2-year old working dog trifecta: Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd and Border Collie. He has very strong breed traits (lunging at bikes/cars). He is a very special boy with fear-based anxiety. We adopted him when he was 9 months old. He was very skittish when we received him, particularly toward men. Over time he warmed up to all family members including my husband and our 11- and 8 year-old children. He loves our other dog. Unfortunately, he has become protective and territorial to the point we can no longer let him off-leash in our shared yard to play, as we live in a dense environment (condo) with lots of neighbors and dogs. He is fine with people and dogs he knows, but is wary with strangers and new dogs and may bark and lunge. Interestingly, he goes on weekly pack walks with a local trainer where he does beautifully. She says she's never seen Blue display his territorial behavior with her. Blue needs a home with space to run and play.
