Adopt Briana Poodle TX a Black Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed dog in Boonton

Briana is a sweet girl who found herself in a Texas shelter along with another senior dog (Jamie Poodle TX, also available for adoption). Briana's coat was badly matted and Jamie was very underweight. Luckily for them, Northstar sprung them from the shelter and gave them the opportunity to live out their golden years the way they deserve. Briana was quite timid and shy when she first came to foster care but now, three weeks in, she is coming out of her shell and starting to show her true personality. Briana is housetrained and can also use potty pads when foster mom isn't home to let her out. She has a healthy appetite and doesn't seem to have a sensitive stomach. She loves treats, and Brianna will do anything for some French fries or cheese. She takes treats very gently and displays no food aggression to humans or other dogs. Briana really enjoys sniffing around the yard and exploring although she usually tires more easily and finds somewhere comfy to settle in for a nap. Briana is very comfortable being loose around the other dogs in the house. She doesn't see very well and sometimes startles if she doesn't see the other dogs (or humans) approaching. Briana is good with cats and doesn’t mind sharing her bed with them.It took some time, but now Briana loves receiving pets. She startles a little if you go straight for her head - but if you start with the butt scratches and work your way up her tail goes crazy and wags in circles. Briana has been to the groomer and did really well - the groomer gave her 5 stars for behavior and said she seemed to know the drill. She rides quietly in the car and sleeps silently through the night. Overall, she is very easy to care for and will make a wonderful addition to a quiet home with lots of love to give.
