Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-Bull Name: CakePopBreed: Pitbull MixApproximate Age: 3 years oldWeight: 55 poundsLocation: Nashville, TNRESCUING CAKEPOP…CakePop was brought to the shelter in early August after she was found at a construction site hiding under materials. She was in rough shape and her injuries align with her being hit by a car. She had a bad wound on her head, broken ribs, a fractured tooth, scrapes all over her body, and a body score of 2/9. At the shelter she got a very bad upper respiratory infection that she had for a month before she was sprung from the shelter!ABOUT CAKEPOP…CakePop is just as sweet as it sounds even with a rough past. She spent a couple of months with our trainer, Frank due to her fearfulness and she is now learning how to be the best version of herself. She has come through her shell at her foster home after learning about confidence and behavior modification. She is crate trained and housebroken. She has never been destructive in the house when alone. Her foster family says she is a quirky dog and loves to sit on your lap like a Velcro dog and will let you know to continue to pet her! She loves adventures and would be a great running or hiking buddy, but do not let that fool you because she loves a good lounge day as well, of course on your lap. With slow introductions, she would do better in a home with a male dog. She is also a more dominant dog, so a male rather than a female dog would be preferred. We would prefer no cats in the house or any small animals, due to having too much fun chasing them. CakePop would love a patient family willing to give her the love that she has never known before, still a work in progress. Her foster family says a family would be lucky to have her in their lives!ADOPTING CAKEPOP…CakePop is current on vaccines, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. She is on monthly preventative. She is eating Stella & Chewy Essentials Meadow Recipe grain-free dry dog food. Her adoption fee is $300.
