Cal was abandoned out in the country with his siblings as puppies, and they survived on their own for several months before they ended up with us. Cal is very loving and enjoys other dogs and people, but he is a little nervous at first. He just needs more exposure, and he will likely get over that. He likes dogs and kids at the dog park. He LOVES swimming and retrieving a ball. He loves hiking and stays right with me off leash. Cal does have some separation anxiety because our dogs haven't accepted him into their pack, and he isn't happy when I leave. He will need some training with that. Overall, this sweet little guy would make a great companion for a family with kids and dogs!
