ADOPTION PENDING. Cuteness Alert! Meet Canelo, a beautiful 2 year old, 29 lb red cocker spaniel. He is tall and slender and will charm his way into your heart in a New York minute! He is snuggly and loves to get and give kisses. He likes to have his humans’ attention so reading or snoozing on the couch doesn’t last very long. LOL He gets along great with his foster fur brother and happily joins his barking sessions. LOL Canelo does bark with sounds or things he sees outside so condo or apartment living is not for him. He has not been observed with cats or kids but he still exhibits some puppy like mouthiness when excited and with toys so we are recommending only older children (12 and up). Canelo loves toys — most especially balls — and to play with his human or by himself. 🙂 He has figured out how to get his foster Mom to play ball even while showering!! LOL (he pushes the ball through the shower curtain). He loves going on long walks and does well on the leash. However, he chases squirrels and lunges/barks at bicycles and some vehicles passing by so he needs continued leash training.He sleeps through the night near his humans and is working on having good house manners. Canelo is a SMART boy and learning fast. He loves to join his humans on their adventures and does pretty well in the car except when it’s raining - those windshield wipers are scary - so having him safely buckled in the back is a must.
