We acquired Cato May 6, 2023. He was 11 months old at the time, so now he's about 15 months. (We don't know his birthdate.) We wanted a dog who would scare off the rock chucks, or kill them. Cato doesn't appear to be aggressive towards any animal. There are fresh rock chuck mounds in the pasture. He barks some at night, who knows at what. Maybe he just barks because our other dog is barking. He isn't much of a barker.Cato is an escape artist. We have him in a 3-acre pasture, but he wants to be able to leave when he wants. He has dug under the fence to get out. He has torn the fencing off the gate to get out. He pushes past kids who are going through the gate. He is not leash trained, so once he's out he's very difficult to get back in.Cato is very mild mannered. He's happy when there are kids in the pasture. He likes to run with them and be petted. He is well-trained never to jump on people, and to be brushed or cared for. He has never given any hint of aggression.
