*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Charlie! Charlie was rescued from Big Bear Animal Shelter in January and has been living in a foster home since then. He is a 9 year old Shih Tzu that is up-to-date on shots and in good overall health after having a dental in February. Charlie’s background prior to arriving at the shelter is unknown, but it seems he has not lived in a loving, stable home in quite a while. Charlie needs a patient and understanding family who will give him time to settle in and feel safe. He can become snappy when scared, and he dislikes large dogs. For these reasons, Charlie would do best as an only dog (or with another small dog) in a home without children. Charlie's foster family reports that once he trusts you, he becomes completely devoted to you and the sweetest dog you'll ever know. Charlie is great on walks, in the car, at restaurants, and in hotels! He'll sleep all night on the bed cuddled up with you. Charlie really wants to love and be loved and have the security of a home with his very own person! Building his confidence and earning his trust would be so rewarding.
