Chewy is a young boy who lived in his last home for nearly a year after a neighbor was moving away and couldn’t take him along. He enjoyed sleeping near his people at night, did well in his kennel with toys and chews to keep him busy, and did great with the kids in the home. He was also housebroken. Here’s what some of Chewy’s volunteer pals said about him:“Today Chewy was very eager to go for a walk, but as soon as he had a chance to potty, he was more relaxed. He loved sniffing and exploring the bushes in the park, was responsive to my verbal cues to sit and watch me in exchange for treats, and really enjoyed pets.”“Chewy is such a fun bouncy boy! He walks well on his leash and also knows a lot of commands. He is able to relax in a kennel with a toy and keeps himself pretty entertained. I love this guy! He has a lot of energy and enthusiasm but also loves to be snuggled up and pet. He takes treats gently from my hand. Please give this great guy a chance!”“Chewy likes to carry his toy in his mouth he leaves his kennel. I have been spending extra time with him to work on focusing his attention in positive ways. Chewy does a very good job with `look` and `touch”. He gives great steady, calm eye contact and takes treats nicely. Chewy really benefits from regular and consistent attention.”Chewy was appropriate and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup, but is definitely a people person and loves his human friends the most!
