Meet Chucky! He is a neutered male Lab/Retriever Mix that weighs 53lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/2 as a stray. He is such a handsome boy, with beautiful brown eyes. He is a strong leash walker, so will need some additional training. He does sit on occasion, but not sure he knows the command. He does take treats gently. He doesn't have an interest in toys or balls, yet when a wonderful pup like Chucky gets out of the shelter, he will feel so much better, I bet he would love to give them a try. He would do great with an active family that could take him for walks or hikes. He is a very sweet, friendly, happy boy that loves to be shown affectionate too. As we walked through the bay he did not show any interest in the other dogs that were barking at him. We do ask if there will be another dog in the family to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He told me that tho he would love to have a secured backyard to run and play in, it is most important for him to be an inside pup.To be inside where he is cool and comfy, hanging out with his loved one, or watching your favorite sports show! Come spend time with Chucky and see if he is a fit for your family.
