The 4 Paws Team was at Gloucester County Animal Shelter a few weeks ago pulling a dog when a woman walked into the Animal Control Office with this handsome boy. She said she was there to surrender him, he had too much energy and she couldn't handle him. She complained that he couldn't be crated, he wasn't good with people or other dogs. She adopted him at 8 weeks old from a different shelter and now at 8 months old was planning to dump him in at GCAS!We saw a ton of potential in this cutie and offered to help. The owner seemed eager to work with us and we gave her our info and asked her to take him home and call us so we can schedule a proper evaluation and look for a foster. The owner agreed, yet never called us. Fast forward to a week ago - the owner dumped this sweet boy at a dog park and animal control was called. When they realized it was the same dog from a few weeks ago they called us and we committed to him once his stray hold was up (which was today!).Officially welcome Cody to 4 Paws! A new and better life starts today! He's been nothing but friendly to everyone, loves dogs AND is awesome in a crate! We are all head over heels for him already! 😍https://4pawsnj.org/adopt
