Meet Deboer! Deboer is about 6 years old, 31 lbs, and he is a Mutt! Deboer had a rough start in life, chained to a tree, and with a previously broken leg that healed wonky. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. He could go to a home with kids 5+, and would prefer a home with other dogs. Cats are unknown. His foster says, "DeBoer would make a great addition to any home. He is smart, loving, eager to please and completely treat motivated! He currently lives with dogs ranging from 8-50 lbs and does great with them all. Sorry, we don't have cats, so we are unsure how he feels about them.DeBoer has an old injury to his front left leg. It was never treated by his old owners, and it healed improperly. It's a little crooked, but only adds to his personality, and doesn't really slow him down much at all. There are days where it's noticeable that it bothers him, but he doesn't let it stop him. However, because of this, I feel minimal stairs would be best for him. He LOVES to be loved on! ? Before coming to us, he lived chained to a tree. Now that he has learned what couches, dog beds, and mom's bed are, he says, "there's no going back!" He loves chin scratches, treats and is learning what belly rubs are. We are also learning what toys are. DeBoer will be a fabulous addition to anyone's home....he can be shy at first, and wary of new surroundings, but be patient, give him a little time, and he will open up and be the sweetest, most gentle, willing to please, happy little four legged best friend you will ever know!!
