Ever heard of a Velcro dog? Well, you're looking at one. I love my humans. I take my time to get to know you at first; BUT, once I do, look out. I want to be with you a lot after that. I am a 3-year-old Black & Tan Coonhound/Doberman mix. I weigh about 55 lbs. I had a rough start in life. I was found by my new owner when he came out to check on his vacant property in the country. He found me emaciated and just having had puppies (they were nowhere to be found). But, as soon as he took me in, he fell. He is elderly and so his daughter and her family took me in. They got me the medical care I needed and taught me how to feel safe and loved. My new family consist of mom, dad, and kids ages 11-19; but I am so gentle that my mom believes I would be great with toddlers and infants too. I have two canine siblings and do well. It's how I'm learning to be a dog! My family needs to find me a new home because the man who found me is no longer capable of caring for me. And, his daughter had her hands full before I came into the picture and now add her dad to the mix. I am house-trained, crate-trained, and working on becoming leash-trained. Plus, I love going on car rides for a pup cup. I must have toys to carry around so I can play fetch and tug-o-war. I am great at that! I have not been around kittens or small animals, but I am a hunter and will chase squirrels. My family says I am so sweet, gentle, and loving. This is why I need a special family to love me, train me, be patient with me and spoil me. Will you take a chance? I promise, I am worth it.
