Meet Drake! Yes, one ear is always up and one down. Drake is a smart, loyal, playful, athletic and affectionate 4 year old Belgian Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home. Ideally his new home would have a big yard and siblings - dogs or cats - to play with. Drake is a sweetheart who is play motivated, though sometimes treats excite him. He eats when he is hungry, and is approximately 65 lbs. Drake requires a lot of exercise and he’s always up for an adventure. He loves playing fetch, swimming, running, long walks, and cuddling after a long day of activities. He’s quite curious, so off-leash activity should happen in a fenced area. He is also an eager pup on a walk, leash pulling has been something he needs working on. Drake is also a big cuddle bug. He’s a great sleeper, and won’t whine or wake anyone up to use the bathroom unless it’s an emergency. He’s house trained and has never had an accident- he’ll kindly let you know when he needs to go out, and he’ll be more chatty and excited to go outside if he’s spotted a bunny. He is allowed to freely roam the house when we are not home. Drake is trained to sit, down, heal, here (come), shake and place. He loves to be mentally challenged so practicing these commands and using them daily are a good idea. Drake has been around newborn babies, cats, dogs, and older children. He has not been around infants or children ages 1-7, so a home with older children would be recommended. Adequate exercise and attention are needed for Drake.
