Duchess is a very sweet and playful 3.5 year old Cattle Dog mix that weighs ~39 lbs. She is a friendly and athletic girl. She enjoys patrolling the yard and any kind of physical activity. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, especially if they want to play with her! In fact, she loves going to day care (and it's a good way for her to work her energy down)! Duchess loves her people and is eager to please. She has been easy to train in basic commands like "focus and "sit (and sometimes "down) because she is so motivated by affection and little treats. She loves her toys, but she is respectful of them (ie not a toy terminator), so this helps them last for a long time. She is crate trained, but she is also very respectful of staying in a room and has not destroyed anything in the room, instead playing with her toys. She has been very sweet to her foster's cats, but she has to be redirected when they run as she does like to chase. She is working on car rides (she likes to herd the other cars), but she has been getting better at this, especially if she is allowed to sit in the passenger seat with a seat belt! Duchess doesn't always present at her best at events because she wants to play with the other dogs so badly, but she is the sweetest, most loving girl!
