Duke was one of a litter of puppies found in the woods. He was turned into the local shelter at a very young age. We adopted him when he was a couple of months old. He has been a good protector and companion. The only issue we have had with him is he doesn’t get along with large dogs he doesn’t know. We were able to keep him separate from situations with other large dogs with no other problems. A year ago, my wife and I had a baby. Now at a year old, she is on the move and Duke is afraid of her. We luckily haven’t had any major issues but he is showing signs of aggression towards her. We would rather re-home him to a loving home than take any risks with our daughter. It breaks our heart to make this decision but we know he will be loved in the right home.He is a typical lab who absolutely loves the water. He has jumped in lakes, pools, and giant mud puddles when given the opportunity. He will need a fenced yard. We do not have cats so we are unsure of his behavior with them.
