Meet Duke! Dukey, as we playfully like to call him, has made amazing strides with us at ARL. He started here as a very young pup after coming up from the south and being in a home where he got lots of foundational training and was able to acclimate to the new environment up here in New England. He came back to us because his owner had to move and was heartbroken at the fact that she couldn`t bring Duke with her. We have been taking great care of Duke while in our care - he meets lots and lots of new people, plays with lots of other dogs, sometimes takes a dip in the kiddie pool but most of all he is thoroughly enjoying our amazing staff and volunteers! We love him too but we would much prefer sharing the wealth of Duke and see him find his forever home! Duke has a moderate energy level: he`s a great hiker, would be a great running companion for someone but can also chill out as a couch buddy on a rainy day. A home with a fenced in yard would be ideal - since he loves to run and play with all the toys. Oh, I almost forgot to mention - the belly rubs - can`t forget the belly rubs that Duke loves!! If Duke sounds like a dog that would be a great fit for your home please reach out to our Brewster Location - he will not disappoint - I promise!Duke is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.For more information on Duke or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-XXXX. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
