I hail from rural Texas (were you thinking Yellowstone?), where I was found as a stray. The first months of my life were pretty sad and lonely. But since arriving at FTF, I've discovered how great life can be when kind people care for you. I show my gratitude every day by lavishing my foster mom with cuddles and kisses and being very attentive. For example, when we're on walks, which I adore, I'm constantly looking back at her. If she tells me not to pull (sometimes I don't know my own strength), I listen and ease up on the leash. Also, I'm a fast learner-especially when treats are involved. Not to brag, but it only took a few tasty morsels to teach me how to sit and down. And once I realized that the sound of a whistle meant come in from the backyard, I ran to the door to get rewarded.When outdoors, I love to meet and greet everyone, 2-legged and 4-legged alike. And being an easy-going guy, I take passing bikes, strollers, cars, and trucks in stride and am easily diverted from chasing bunnies and squirrels. I'm always eager for road trips, and if I can't ride shotgun, I'm content to lie quietly on the backseat. Inside, I've shown no interest in pillows, remotes, or shoes, but I admit to doing a little investigative counter-surfing. With your help, I promise to stop. Finally, I'm working hard on potty training, and though I bark a little when I first go in my crate, I soon settle. The only requirement for my adoption (a fenced yard would be terrific but not essential, if you provide me with enough exercise) is that you sign us up for training classes.
