Hi! My name is Elmer! Everyone needs a best friend. Will you be mine?I came to FMAR as a stray during a big snowstorm. I'm a loving and funny guy who would enjoy lots of walks and playtime. I would do best in a home without cats. They're just too interesting for me to leave them alone. I haven't met a lot of other dogs, so slow meets would be the best. Since I'm such a big boy, I would do best with kids 6 and up.If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250 which covers all of the medical care I have received.**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
