Please read our Frequently Asked Questions and Adoption Processed Explained documentation. _________ B I O ______________ Name : Gevalia Size : (Once fully grown) ~Medium range: 26-60 lbs Adoption Donation :â¯$250 (applicable sales tax included) PLUS a $100 deposit is required and is to be refunded once proof of spay/neuter is provided to this rescue. Our adoption contract requires all dogs to be spayed/neutered within ONE Month of adoption or when age-appropriate .â¯Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.â¯ Other :â¯â¯Intact Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip Puppies generally need the following veterinary care after their adoption:â¯ 8 Weeks: â¯Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella Vaccinations.âۚ Luv of Dog Rescue completes these vaccinations before adoption. 12 Weeks :â¯â¯Distemper/Parvo Vaccination, completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice. 16 Weeks :â¯â¯Distemper/Parvo Vaccination, Rabies Vaccination, completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice. 6 Months : Spay/Neuter surgery. â¯ Yearly thereafter: All dogs need yearly wellness exams performed by a veterinarian as well as booster vaccinations. ~ Spay/Neuter surgeries cost between $200-$400 in the FM Area.â¯Wellness visits can run from $50 to $100 for each visit. If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice. Gevalia has the most beautiful eyes you've ever seen Foster Home Feedback 8/26/23 Foster Feedback: The first thing you might notice about Gevalia is her ears. She has huge, gorgeous ears that give her such a cute and unique look! Funnily enough though, she doesn't show off her ears too often. Every time she sees me or my husband she tucks them and comes running to snuggle up against us! Maybe she tucks them in for better speed?Gevalia is a huge lover and is very happy to cuddle in my lap, or if that's not available at the moment, to lean against my leg. Most mornings when I let her out she HAS to snuggle with me first, before she does her first potty, just to make sure she is still going to be loved today!Gevalia was found as a stray with her siblings and was pretty skinny when she first arrived in my home. As a result of having to scrounge for her food to stay alive, she does have some resource guarding over her food and sometimes water (but not toys). I've been feeding her and her siblings separately and making sure that she has plenty of food to let her know that she won't ever have to scrounge for food again, and I've seen her guarding lessen significantly. Still, potential adopters with other pets should be aware of her resource guarding history and continue to feed her separately. She does well in her kennel and her potty training is going very well, too. She has never had an accident in her kennel and although she does not get free rein of the house, she always potties in appropriate places in the yard.This petite baby has a HUGE heart and so much love to give.
