Personality Gigi is shy at first but when she breaks out of her shell, she is a rambunctious 10 year old who plays like she is 2. She is very good at letting you know when she needs to go outside for potty breaks, but you will have to accompany her outside until she feels safe and secure that she won't be abandoned again. Gigi loves playing tug of war with other dogs and with her squeaky toys. She eats a lot and is a bit territorial with her food, but we chalk that up to her living in the streets for so long without nutritional food and trying to survive. She has gotten better at it and is making improvements each and every day. Gigi is not too fond of car rides but we're trying to ease her into getting into vehicles with treats. She knows the sit command and is highly treat motivated. Background (paragraph) Gigi was found the night of July 1st, 2023. She was malnourished and flea infested. She was given flea and tick treatments immediately and was flea free by the next morning. She was taken to the local fire station for a microchip check. The fire station then did some digging and found that she was abandoned by her owners who wanted nothing to do with her. She was taken to the vet for vaccinations and tests.
