Contact foster at XXXX@gmail.comWhile Gomez has some pit bull physical characteristics, his personality and energy level are all labrador. He is the typical cheerful, energetic, people-friendly labrador. He is also dog friendly albeit somewhat overly energetic in his initial meeting so supervision is required to temper his enthusiasm on a first meet. Once Gomez learns proper respect in meeting a new dog, I’m sure things will go smoothly. He gets along with my resident dog. He prefers to be near/around “his people” but is not overly demanding of attention. I think he just prefers the physical closeness, lying nearby, snuggling on the couch, lying on the bed. For this reason I think he would be a great companion for children though I have not tested him with children.. He does need quite a bit of exercise so he would fit in very nicely with an active family and/or with another active dog.. He is crate trained and house trained. He can be left loose in the house as long as no tempting chew objects are within his reach (like paper, food containers and water bottles but does not chew furniture and such). He seems to like to ride in a car and stays on the back seat when the car is moving. He needs some work on learning to stay on the back seat when the car is parked. All in all, Gomez is very pleasant, entertaining, and easy to live with.
