Hi there! My name is Groot and my foster family says that I am the best boy! I am 55 lbs of love and good looks! I am the perfect amount of energy and playfulness and lazy couch potato. I currently live with my foster parents, human foster sibling and a canine foster sister who I adore, however there have been a few other dogs that I have met and not been a fan of. This being said I do not have to be an only dog because I LOVE playing tug of war with my foster sister however I do need slow intros to make sure that I feel comfortable with them and that they feel comfortable with me. But once we get past that stage I KNOW we would be best friends! I love going on walks with my foster family and have been working hard on my leash manners and now the only time they are not great is if I see something that looks really cool and I want to investigate. This summer I learned what a hose is and OH BOY I think it is one of the best things ever! It is so much fun trying to catch the water coming out of it. My foster family has taught me how to sit, stay and shake I don’t understand why they want me to do these things but I get delicious treats after I do them so I don’t question it to much. After playtime I love to lay around and chew on toys, sticks, or bones (sticks are only allowed outside per my foster mom) in the sun. My foster family tells me I fall asleep and snore sometimes while doing this but I don’t believe them that would be embarrassing! Any-hoo I think it is time for me to go I just heard my foster dad say he was going to water the garden and I know he will need help with the hose!
