Hi, my name is Gruff and my life has been rough. Bet you didn't think you'd find a dog with the rhyming talents of a God? Okay, enough rhyming. I was surrendered to HSHC after living with my owner for two years due to issues with their landlord. I'm not mad at my owner, but the whole situation has made me anxious. But who wouldn't be anxious going from a cozy home to a shelter? I know sit, stay, down and off and I'm pretty good with older kids (10 and over)! I just ask that they respect my boundaries and emotional cues. Just like you, I can get overwhelmed so I ask for support and understanding when I'm feeling nervous. I've been in my foster home for a few days, and I really like my family! They tell me I'm a good boy and give me lots of yummy treats. If you have other pups in the home I'd love to meet them. I'm hopeful I'll find my forever family, could it be you?
