5/20/2023Hi! My name is Haus! I’m a handsome 11-year-old sealed brindle gentleman who is part of the rescue’s Silver Heart program that was an owner surrender due to the landlord not allowing me in the residence and one of my current owners’ health declining. I am described as friendly, shy, smart, calm, affectionate, quiet, and obedient. I do have some problem with stairs due to my age and would do better in a home where I don't need to go up and down them regularly. I may also be a little hard of hearing, but I am very food motivated and will do anything for a treat! I do pretty well for bathing and I do like to drink from the toilet! I walk well on a leash and also did well with a harness. I am said to be dog friendly and lived with another dog and did well. I have never been around felines, so unsure about cats. I am kid friendly and lived with 8-year children and was reported to do well. I appear to be house trained but would need work on being crate trained if that is a must in my new home. At night I am used to sleeping inside on blankets. When I must be left alone, I am said to be fine with no issues. When I am outside, I have good behavior and do not dig or jump fences or gates. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, dog toys, affection, and cuddles.
