This active and handsome boy is just awesome! He knows lay down, heel, sit, hold, leave-it but he is still working on that one! We feel he is scent trained or just has a natural ability at scenting. He has spent some time with a dog trainer/ foster home who really got to assess his abilities and skills and this is what she had to say about him: 'Hunter has two speeds; zoom and chill. He's mostly German Short-haired Pointer (GSP), if not purebred. This super soft boy has already had some training and currently knows how to sit, lay down, and heels really well when reminded. He's also already crate trained and loves car rides! He responds best to deep voiced commands, leading me to believe his previous owner was a man. I was able to observe him around gun fire on our walk, and he did not cower!This boy is super smart and energetic. He'd be a great hunting dog or running/ hiking adventure buddy. He wants to play with other dogs and mostly loves to run with them, but is intimidating to smaller dogs. He's too young to know that, so he could use some boundary training with smaller dogs. Hunter loves to follow his instincts. If he gets bored, he will find a way to go explore. Fences mean very little to this athletic boy. He'd much rather cover those 2-4 miles walking/ running with his owner than be stuck in a yard. "
