Have you met the goofiest, sweetest boy in town? Then say hello to Jack! He is a young German Shepherd mix and is so full of love and silliness. Jack came to us from the Stanislaus animal shelter after another rescue had passed on him at the last minute, and it was completely their loss!Jack is great with the children in his foster home ages 6 and 12, and would do wonderfully in a home with children over 5 years old. As he is a young Shepherd, he can be a bit mouthy when he is excited. Jack also does well with the other dogs in his foster home, but would do best in a home with female dogs or submissive males. He has not been cat tested, though he did not show much interest in the chickens in his foster home he very much felt the need to try to chase the goats .Jack loves to snuggle and is very much a Velcro dog. He has a lot of energy but also knows when to calm down and chill out. He had had no training prior to coming to his foster home but is very smart and eager to please, so he needs a home that will be willing to continue his training and give him plenty of mental stimulation. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs.Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit.
