Adopt Jackson Lucien the Fetch Boy a Brown/Chocolate Labrador Retriever dog in

Location:
Twin Falls, ID
Description:

Jackson is the happiest, most lovable silly pup. His tail doesn’t stop wagging and he is very huggable. He is a great cuddler and always wants to be near his family. Because he is a rescue, we cannot guarantee his breed or age. He’s about 1 year old and 50 lbs. The perfect size to load up and go with you! His personality is adorable, he LOVES water, and he plays fetch!!! See here: https://youtu.be/qZMzn8x6tZA Jackson loves to nap next to his family members on the couch and sneak into bed with you once you are asleep. But he won’t always be on top of you, he will snuggle and eventually finds his own space. He is currently living with 2 larger dog and he loves them. He plays with both very well though he naturally has a mouthy, rougher playstyle. Our 80lb, 5 year old male is a rough and tumble player and Jackson holds his own (we call him a tank) while our 50lb, 10yr old female is more about keep away and they are great together also. They helped him learn how to be a dog. Jackson has not been around kids yet but he met a cat once and let it box him with shock as the only reaction. Jackson is very food motivated and easy to teach new things. He can sit, laydown, shake, and is working on stay/wait. He will sit and wait for his meals until you release him. He happily goes in his crate for a treat and keeps it clean. He is potty trained and will sit by the door or paw it to be let out. You do still have to keep an eye on him though because he can be sneaky if you’re not paying attention and don’t let him out. He is working on some of his manners but is overall very well behaved. He will jump on you when he is excited to see you or playing. His signature move is to paw you to get your attention or mouth your hand. He is an energetic dog but not all the time. He goes on long walks and has started running with me in the mornings. He will be a great running partner. He does not like to be left out of the adventures and will let you know with an astounding vocal range while in his crate. He can also demonstrate his unique sounds while playing and on walks. Walking Jackson is a work in progress. He gets very excited and can pull or cry out when seeing another dog, rabbit, squirrel, or anything that looks fun to play with. He is strong for his size and will need a competent leash holder. He is getting better and better keeping his focus and attention on you (with a treat pouch) when out at Lowe’s or patio restaurants. We are fully committed to working with him while in foster care so he’s the best boy he can be when he reaches you! He will need some patience and time to continue gaining confidence around new people. He can be shy and unsure of people that want to give him attention at first. He is happy if ignored and you can tell he wants to be around them but is still figuring it all out. He is worth the wait! He warms up, especially with other dogs around. We are seeking a home with another dog for him. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives!
