Hey everyone! Jeep here from Great Lakes Dog Rescue! I'm a ten-month-old, 45-pound, hound mix who is ready for my happily ever after. After sitting in the kennel since APRIL, a wonderful foster family stepped in and now I'm living it up at their place until you come take me to my forever home. I currently live with my foster mom, dad, and their three kids who are ages six, eight and 20. As if that wasn't cool enough, I also live with two other dogs and I love playing with my fur brother! I respect the space of my one fur sibling that isn't as interested in me. If you're looking for a fun-loving fur sibling for your family dog, I'm game for a meet and greet anytime! I've also been around horses, goats, cats, chickens and I have a fondness for the pigs that live on our property. Check out my photos and see! If you have kids, I'd prefer living with kids ages five and up as I've shown I have great manners. I'm happy to report I'm both house-trained and crate-trained! I go to the door to let you know I need to go outside. I'm also great in the car and ready to join you on whatever adventure you have in mind. My foster family says I have great recall and they are working to teach me new commands. I love to play tug with my rope toy and can't wait to do it with you too! I am very food-motivated and love my bones! My foster family is working on my leash manners and I'm improving every day! As I'm still a young pup, I'll benefit from continued training and daily exercise to keep me engaged and active. A yard for me to relax and play in is a must for me! I thrive on routine and need a family that is committed to helping me learn and be the best pup I can be. I've really adjusted well to my foster home and love to spend my time watching all the animals in the yard. I don't chase them, I just like to observe. I'm learning all the joys of being part of a family. After a long day hanging with my foster family, I sleep quietly through the night in my crate next to my fur sibling. My new family will need to be patient with me and provide encouragement to help me continue to build up my confidence. Once I know I'm part of the family, I'll repay your kindness with love every day!
