3/20/2023 Introducing JJ (black 2 year old boy) & Mia (4 year old Merle girl) our dynamic duo currently fostered in Cambridge, MN and now available for adoption!These bonded beauties were surrendered from a breeder who had many Great Danes all living in outdoor conditions with heated garage access and not much human interaction. The bond between them is very strong and they must be adopted together. They have a special combined adoption fee of $650 for the pair. Are ready to add double the love and fun by adopting this dynamic duo into your home?Behind the scenes they have been fully vetted and are learning the joys of indoor living and getting lots of love from their foster parents. It has been a joy for them to see this precious pair start to bloom. They have not been exposed to cats or children. Mia is the leader and JJ looks to her for security, guidance and companionship. Neither wants to be far from the other. JJ and Mia play rough with each other and will cry when one is not present. JJ receives a lot of guidance and support from Mia and Mia doesn't like to be far away from JJ. JJ is much more timid in the world and needs a special adopter to continue to bring him out of his shell! A physically fenced yard will be required due to his flight risk if he get spooked. Due to Mia being a dominant female it would be best for this duo to be the only dogs in the home. There is another Dane in their foster home but he needs to be kept separate from this pair.JJ specifics:Purebred 1.5 year old Great Dane. Neutered and healthy, he has a slender build at 119 pounds which is perfect for his frameThis handsome boy has a black coat, white chest and the most soulful eyes. He is a very sweet boy who enjoys attention but is still cautious with new people. Once comfortable he us a very fun loving and enthusiasic dog who loves to explore. JJ likes to RUN and PLAY rough with Mia. Some favorite activities include zoomies, wrestling, chewing on bones/antlers/stuffies/anything else he can get his mouth around and eating snow. His crate is left open and he retreats there when he needs to feel safe.He is not strongly food motivated but does respond to treats for training. Everything is new to him and he needs time to get used to it all. Foster parents are working with him to learn basic commands and appropriate behaviors. He will chew on inappropriate items, including doorknobs, woodwork, shoes, gloves, and his kennel bedding. He must be crated when left unsupervised. Currently he is enrolled in beginner obedience training to build his confidence and practice desired trained behaviors.Might you be the adoptive home this precious pair is waiting for?
