Personality: Gentle (most of the time), affectionate, loyal, playful, smart, adaptable, adventurous, eager-to-please, and outgoing.When he becomes super playful he gets mouthy. Handsome guy Jones loves a good adventure! He is a gentle guy who is very social with everyone he meets. He is happy happy happy and is in his element when outdoors! Ask Jones what his favorite time of day is and he would definitely say walk time. He loves sniffing around and going on multiple daily walks outside and is working hard on improving his leash skills. As a nature boy, Jones would love to go on hikes (and maybe even try camping for the first time?) with his furever humans. Jones loves being near his humans and getting all the love and attention whenever he can!Jones is a very smart guy who is good at picking up on social cues and is rapidly learning new words such as "down, "bed, and "come. Housetraining is a new skill that Jones is hard at work picking up on. He is not a fan of the crate, but by the end of a week of learning it he adjusted well. He does like other dogs and has done great in play groups. Jones especially enjoys a delicious treat (whether or not in a training session), and is always gentle when dealing with yummy snacks! As an active boy, exercise and activities like chew toys and puzzle toys are key to keeping him entertained and well-behaved. He is gaining the courage to stay home alone and might do best with an adopter who works from home. Good boy Jones is just the SWEETEST guy who can't wait to meet his humans and go on many outdoor adventures together. No city life for this guy and requires a lot of exercise. Behavior traits:1. Has observed some separation anxiety (howling and jumping up and down from the door to the windows), most likely due to constant changes. A crate is recommended when leaving the home.2. Mouthing/play biting when he gets super excited and has not been able to exercise his energy. Also when he wants to go for a walk. 3. Counter surfer. If he can reach it he will get it.4. He will run away if given the opportunity. Freely open doors and he is running out. 5. Would do best in a home with other canine friends.6. Will need help with housetraining in the new home.
