Meet June! June is a gorgeous girl with a personality to match! This precious pup got her name after her foster noticed that she loves to chase June-bugs! We know that June will make a wonderful family dog - all she is missing is the family! June has a sweet natured personality with a touch of sass. She finds her confidence quickly in new situations, and is overall a joyful, goofy, friendly little girl! June is quite curious & energetic, but also content when simply chilling by your side. Eager to be a good girl, she is quick to catch on to her positive-reinforcement-only puppy training. This includes basic obedience, potty-training, & leash-walking. She sleeps soundly in a crate all night, is potty-trained, sits and waits on her meals, and knows “sit” & “shake” so far! June is a natural at playing fetch, catching toys mid-air, and loves her squeaky toys the most! She is quite athletic and is remarkably agile when the Zoomies kick in! June is incredibly playful and loves playing with other dogs! She is also very smart, and can quickly figure out any puzzle toy put in front of her! She has also figured out that splashing in mud is one of her favorite ways to cool off during her first Texas summer! Fun fact: June has double dew claws! Most quirky trait: Barking at her own reflection in the oven door - every. single. time. she sees it! In mid-May 2023 at just 10 weeks old, June and her brother Charlie were found alongside a rural County Road in Northeast Texas by a local high school student. While they were not wearing collars, Charlie was found with a tie-down strap wrapped tightly around his neck. These brave, resilient little pups quickly felt safe enough to settle in to their foster home, and their playful personalities quickly began to emerge. Charlie has been adopted, but June is still waiting to find her family! Now 3.5 months old (6/25) June has already received her 1st & 2nd rounds of vaccinations, has been microchipped, treated for internal parasites, and is on a monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
