One-year-old Kai has plenty of puppy energy to spare! Despite being blind, Kai enjoys all the same things that any other energetic young pug would, including playing, going for leash walks, cuddling with and giving kisses to his humans, chasing his foster siblings around the house, scarfing down his food, meeting new people and dogs, and chewing on bully sticks, stuffies, and toys that crinkle. His least favorite things include thunderstorms and being crated alone; when unattended, his foster mom leaves him in a small gated area where he can do a little roaming, which he enjoys. Kai uses his other senses, including hearing, to follow his pack and navigate his world with relative ease. He’s even learning how to take the doggie stairs up to the human bed (where he sleeps soundly through the night) and is quickly mastering the art of housetraining. His ideal forever family will encourage his continued exploration and make a few modifications so that he can roam around his home safely. They’ll also have a securely fenced yard, at least one person who is home most of the time, and another friendly, playful dog to provide confident leadership.
