She didn't seem to have been socialized at all and when her owners decided to take her to the shelter a year later, she wasn't a good candidate for public adoption. Kalli was petrified of everyone and everything and needed a rescue to help her if she was going to make it out alive.We rescued this 46 pound floofy beauty and started working on getting her used to the world around her. She started to open up and trust and can now mingle with people without shaking and trying to flee. Around 2½-3 years old, she is potty trained, good in the car, and crate trained, but is very scared of traffic and loud noises when on walks. Once we're off the main street, she does better, but cars still spook her and she'll need an adopter to continue working with her so she can blossom even more!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. September 10, 2023, 5:53 am
