07/22/23 15:39Reason animal needs rescue: Needs rescue due to extended shelter stayImpound type: StrayAJ08/31/23 15:24SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:I rode in the car and went on a 4.8 mile walk at Almaden Lake Park. I had a great time on our walk taking in all the sights and sniffs. A lot of people even complimented me during the walk. Afterwards, we went to Starbucks to get a pup cup. I wasn`t in the mood for one, but I enjoyed the ride!Kate is a fun gal! She did well on the car ride and showed her excitement through her vocal grunts. She also has a cute quirk of air snapping while she barks. Although it may look scary at first, it is harmless and just how she communicates her happiness and excitement! She walks well on the leash and loves chicken treats. She is also very patient and knows to stand still when her harness is being adjusted. Kate is somewhat reactive to squirrels and birds- she does lightly lunge but can be easily redirected. When Kate sees other dogs, she will only bark and slightly pull if the other dog barks first. Otherwise, she was non-reactive to all other dogs. She is such a good dog and would make a great companion to anyone!
