A volunteer writes: It's hard to believe this wiggly little man was so scared when he arrived at the shelter, but you can't blame him! Kleedus was found tied to a tree by a Good Samaritan who gave him food and water until the police arrived. When he got to the shelter he allowed staff to pet him, but nervously kept his tail tucked. Over the next days and weeks, Kleedus emerged as the happy wiggle worm we know now. What started as wariness and bolting back to the security of his kennel, changed to a wiggly body and kisses within 2 days. With gentle handling and soft voices, in a week Kleedus was greeting staff with "happy toes" and rolling onto his back for a belly rub. Kleedus is playful and young, and when he is done he will come to sit with us on the bench and lean in, relishing the affection. When it's time to go back he might sit at your feet and look up with that angelic tiger-striped baby face and ask for his face to be scratched. Kleedus is ready to start his new life outside the shelter. While his past is unknown, we hope a gentle and loving home opens their doors to him.
