***COURTESY POSTING - THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE HUMANE EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY FACILITY*** Kobe is an affectionate 3- to 4-year-old who spent his early life either chained to a pole or running loose throughout the neighborhood. He was hit by a car last year and had to have surgery to repair his leg. The person who found him has been fostering and caring for him since the accident, but now Kobe needs a forever home. Over the past 7-8 months Kobe has blossomed into a friendly and affectionate dog and he has begun to learn some basic obedience commands. He is well-behaved inside and is housebroken. He knows to sit before receiving his meals or a treat, and he loves belly rubs. He seems to long for a doggie friend and has done well with female dogs who are calm and confident. While he is normally tolerant of his foster mom's cats, it would be best if he lived in a no-cat home. If you would like to meet and possibly adopt Kobe, please contact the Humane Educational Society so we can put you in touch with his foster.
