Adopt LEXXIE* a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - with Black German Shepherd Dog /

Location:
Tucson, AZ
Description:

Lexxie got to go to her first pawjama party! She is a sweet old lady thatwill need some decompression time. I picked her up on Friday afternoon andshe slept all of Saturday and all of Sunday. She needed space and time andI made sure to give it to her. Then Monday happened. On Monday morning sheeven cuddled albeit briefly but it was a huge step. On Monday she wasfollowing me around a little bit and cleaned my kitchen floors and thoughtI dropped butter just for her. I had two male service men come in on Mondayafternoon and she was not fond of that it. She was not aggressive butexceptionally anxious. I had a female friend stop by and they connectedvery well. She is housebroken but might not ask to be let out. We went forwalks and she might perk up if there is a rabbit that runs across the roadbut she won`t pull on the leash. She was a little anxious around movingcars but I gave her reassurance and she did fine. There were no accidents,no barking, no chewing. She was very non-reactive except for when the TVwas on. She was trying to find where the other dog was coming from. Shelikes blankets and her dog bed. She knows `sit` and is eager to do so forpeanut butter, treats, dog food and to sit and stare expecting you to knowwhat she wants. I didn`t feel like she would have been aggressive towardsme with food. I have hard floors and she was not comfortable going up mystairs and with her anxious personality, I wasn`t going to force her to doanything but....ok...fine Lexxie do you want to tell your side of the story?Yes, it`s true I slept 95% of the time on Saturday and Sunday but can youblame me? It was so quiet and lovely and no other dogs barking! My fostermom made sure we went outside for short walks but I wasn`t too sure aboutthose cars driving by but my foster mom gave me good reassurance. Mondaywas so much fun! Well we did have service guys come in and I didn`t knowwhat to do about that. They were big and scary but my foster mom was calmso I stayed calm. My foster mom`s friend came over and she was incredible. So the stairs! I got bamboozled. I swear I was never ever ever going to dostairs and then my host mom pulled out my favorite food, gravy train! Therewas this weird sensation, I think it was my tail, I haven`t used it in sucha long time but it kept going back and forth back and forth. I was soexcited. Finally I made it up
