Hey y`all! This white-masked handsome boy is Licorice. We have given him nickname “Bear” because he’s such a big teddy bear! He’s a goofy, quiet, cuddly guy who has a face and personality that is unforgettable. Not to brag, but he was featured on barstoollonghorn on Instagram, so he is practically famous. While in foster, Licorice has come out of his shell and learned how to play and how to be a dog! He is really the best companion. It does take “Bear” a little bit of time to get comfortable with new people, once that connection is made, you’re a best friend of his. He displays this by not running up to new people. If you sit with him for 2 minutes and let him approach you, he will climb right into your lap. He’s been fostered by UT students and has gotten used to the busy lifestyle as well as supporting his foster mom! He loves to play and is also an excellent nap buddy. He is house-trained, knows tricks like sit, shake, come, and lie down, and is learning his manners for walks. Licorice is also the kind of guy who is down for a nice road trip or a hike. He is truly the sweetest boy in the world and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He is fond of his unicorn toy but there is nothing that makes him happier than playing with other dogs or getting pets and cuddles. Licorice will sleep all night in his bed or on the couch/bed (if you let him) and will even softly bark in his sleep to show you how well he is dreaming! He can be left at home and will eagerly await your arrival with no problems. “Bear” does have some experience with older kids. He has not been around younger children. He has been around plenty of dogs and falls in love with every dog he meets. Licorice is a lover boy who is looking for his home. He cannot wait to be somebody’s forever teddy “Bear”.
