Leggy and loving 6-month-old Lilly thinks she’s a 31-pound lap dog! Fond of napping on the couch in the morning and afternoon, once this sweetie settles down, she’s supremely snuggly, crawling onto her fosters’ laps, either stretching out for belly rubs or “settling” in a sit position between their legs. Then, when she wants to play, she does a play bow where her head is on the ground between her front paws and her butt is up in the air. Percolating with typical puppy energy, she loves chewing on her antler, playing tug with her rope and fox toy, playing briefly by herself with her stuffed hedgehog that makes fun sounds when thrown around, and making good use of her beagle nose with her snuffle mats and Kongs. Still accustoming herself to the cold, her walks are currently kept fairly short, but she's friendly toward everyone she meets. Lilly is working on her "watch me" command to help her better interact with dogs on leashed walks. She's highly treat-motivated and quickly mastered "sit", "wait", "lay down", "crate", "spin" and learning more tricks. She's a super smart girl! At work on barking less when home alone, progressing well with her crate-training, and almost fully house-trained, Lilly now needs an active and loving home to perfect her puppy manners, continue her socialization, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $395 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit) . Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
