Lucan is an one year old Pittie mix that was recently found as a stray and wasn't reclaimed. When Lucan first arrived, he was a trembling bag of bones and was so unsure of himself that he would urinate on our floor when you greeted him. He quickly bonded with the staff and flourished with praise and reassurance. Now, you couldn't catch a glimpse of the Ol' trembling Lucan but instead, you'll meet the boy who loves being treated like a well loved dog and is learning to "dog" again. He loves toys and his Pittie grin shines through when you offer a toy. He loves to play 'short distance catch', which gives us all a laugh. He likes it when you toss it up high or throw it maybe...three to five feet away from him and he'll happily pounce to get it and bring it back to you. Long distance? Heck no. He calls quits. Lucan does well with other dogs but isn't a fan of dogs that jump all over him or try to mount him (we don't blame him). Cats, he didn't seem to care so with a slow introduction, he may do well. Lucan is moving forward and next step is to find a home to call his own. His adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current flea/heartworm prevention, registered microchip, and neuter.
