From a volunteer: Lucky is a super friendly dog who wants all the attention you can give to him. He loves to lean on you and does it with everyone he meets. He is energetic and needs an active family willing to give him all the attention and love he craves. Most of the morning, Lucky whined and paced around my office when I couldn't give him attention. Any time I left my desk, he was my shadow and didn't like for me to leave the office area. He was not interested in the hard chew bones until later in the afternoon. Lucky was selective with the soft ones and protective of his treat. He would tense up if I touched his head or back as if expecting me to take it away. He will play some with the toys but loses interest quickly. He was calm for brief periods, until I gave him too many head and ear scratches and would start to get rambunctious again. Lucky loves going for walks. He can be rambunctious when you try to latch the leash to the harness. However, once we start walking, he is easy to handle. He might be house trained. Lucky never had an accident in my office and always went outside. He gets along great with other dogs. He played hard and rough with Lefty, our canine pal from the Biological Survey. A family with another energetic, playful large dog would be a great fit for Lucky. Playing hard wore him out and he was calm and quiet for the rest of the afternoon. Lucky has an adorable and silly personality. He needs a family with a second dog and who will enjoy his energy level. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 40 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks
