Hello, I'm Lucy and I came to Animal Ark with my partner Murphy and our two pups Starsky and Hutch. We all came to be here because one of the children in our previous home developed allergies. The good news is, both my pups and Murphy have found their new forever homes, now I am in search of mine. So, if you are looking for a playful and loyal family dog, then I think we should meet! Here is what the volunteers & staff want to share about me:Lucy is a Labrador/Poodle mix, most often referred to as a "Labradoodle." They are known for their beautiful coats that give them the "stuffed animal" bodies and those "teddy bear" faces. Well, Lucy has that...and so much more! She is very sweet and affectionate and shows it in her greeting by placing her front paws on your chest or around your waist. There is nothing better than receiving a "Lucy Hug!" Not only does she like giving affection, she really enjoys receiving it too! Her wavy "fleece coat" is so silky soft it is easy to want to pet and hold her. The more you get to know her, the more time you want to spend with her! Lucy is an active girl who enjoys going on walks. She is a bit of a puller on the leash, but it's because she is curious and wants to explore. If you keep her next to you on a short leash, she will do less "zigzagging" from side to side. She is making progress on every walk! If a walk isn't possible, she also enjoys playtime off leash in a fenced in yard. Lucy likes activity, but once done, she is happy to relax and lounge around with her humans. Lucy will do best in a home without cats and she will need to meet any canine siblings. She has shown some reactivity when first meeting a new dog, but Lucy is smart and treat motivated which makes her ideal for any type of training. She is already kennel trained and housebroken too! Lucy has watched and waited as her puppies and Murphy have found their forever homes and now it is her turn to find hers.
