Hi my name is Lucy! I am a pit mix and weigh about 40 pounds. My doctors guesstimate that I am a year old. You see, my foster pawrents saved me off the side of the road and are helping me to be my best self. I have a skin condition and heartworms but that doesn't stop me from having fun! Once my skin is in top notch condition, I'm going to get spayed.I'm very playful and love to run around my new yard, but only when my foster pawrents are with me (I don't like being outside by myself). I like to chew on hard things so I need a bone, or five, to occupy myself. I don't really care for soft toys and I don't like to fetch. I've learned how to sit for treats and my food and am trying to learn more party tricks. At the moment, I'm learning how to shake and lay down. I don't have them down pat, yet, but I'm working hard! I love leash walks around the neighborhood but please hold on tight because I love to chase squirrels and cats. I'm not a huge fan of baths, but I'm doing better at staying still. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm potty trained. I haven't had an accident yet!I love to meet new humans and dog friends. I try real hard to play with my foster brother. He's a boykin spaniel, but he's old and sometimes doesn't want to play. So, I'm learning about something my foster pawrents call boundaries. I've only been around 1 small human since being at my new home. I was very curious and wanted to lick him to pieces (he was so cute!).Please help me find my furever home.Lucy is part of our Ambassador's Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home.
