** $310 in pledges for the rescue that pulls ** Luna Marina ACCT-A-124692 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns. Luna Marina must have confirmed placement with an EXPEREINCED ADOPTER or RESCUE PARTNER by Friday, October 21st at 10 a.m. Should Luna Marina's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Luna Marina is a beautiful 4 year old gal who was found abandoned and brought to ACCT by one of our APO's on October 7th. Luna was initially very fearful and did have to be transported via control pole by our APO's due to her level of fear. The first few days at ACCT Luna remained very fearful, but has opened up a lot since then. Luna blossoms around other dogs and has had multiple good dog meets while in our care. Luna is also very food motivated and has shown knowledge of Sit! She takes treats very gently and becomes very wiggly when food is involved. Luna has been nervous with handling at times and with new people. When petting Luna sometimes she will stiffen, flatten her ears, and lip lick. Luna has shown lots of improvement in the shelter already and needs a home with an experienced handler who can work with her so she can continue to blossom into the lovely girl she is! Luna has the potential to make a great companion in a home and just needs the right person to help her get there. UPDATED- 10/17 Per Volunteer- I've handled Luna Marina twice and never experienced any of the fearfulness stated in her notes. Shes been easy to handle but excited to be outside. The first time she met Rising and really helped Rising feel comfortable by taking breaks and giving her space. Luna kept play bowing and eventually Rising was doing the same! Luna is strong on the leash, but nothing terrible. She can be jumpy and is easily directed. She knows Sit and is treat motivated. She's allowed other volunteers to pet her while she's been out.
