Mac had a rough life his first 4 years. He needs a quiet country home, literally. Noise makes him uneasy. He is slow to get to know new people but once he trusts, he is a complete lover boy. He loves to snuggle and follow you around. He would do best in a family with older, respectful children. He would benefit from a somewhat calm but confident canine companion in the home who could continue to help build his confidence. He has made great strides in his foster home. He has gone from a terrified, shaking mess hiding in a corner, growling to a calm, loving, fun member of a pack and family in just 4 months! He was brought in skin and bones, malnourished, dry, flaking skin and traumatized. He's now filling out nicely, gaining weight and muscles, has a shiny black coat, healthy skin and learning to overcome his past. If you have the time and patience, Mac will be your best friend. He's ready to find his quiet forever home in the country.Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
